ScanTFS - Installation

The 32-bit and 64-bit versions are combined. The portable version of ScanTFS contains both the 64-bit executable (scantfs64.exe) and the 32-bit executable (scantfs.exe).

Installation

The 32-bit and 64-bit installation files are combined in one archive (scantfs000.zip).

Portable

The portable installation archive scantfs135.zip contains both the 32-bit (scantfs.exe) and the 64-bit (scantfs64.exe) programs. It is up to the user to decide which module(s) to install (extract). Both versions can be installed and run concurrently on 64-bit Windows.

scantfs.ini

At startup, ScanTFS checks if scantfs.ini is present in directory from which ScanTFS is started. If found it will use this file to store the configuration, if scantfs.ini is not found in the start-up folder, ScanTFS will look for "C:\Users\{user-name}\AppData\Local\ScanTFS\scantfs.ini". If scantfs.ini is not found there either, ScanTFS will create a scantfs.ini file. As an alternative, you can create an empty file named "C:\Users\{user-name}\AppData\Local\ScanTFS\scantfs.ini". For portable installations you may whish to keep the configuration file in the same folder as the scantfs executable: create an empty scantfs.ini file in the same folder where the ScanTFS executable (scantfs.exe or scantfs64.exe) is located (and optionally rename or delete "C:\Users\{user-name}\AppData\Local\ScanTFS\scantfs.ini").
Please note: On 64-bit systems the ScanTFS initialization file is called: scantfs64.ini instead of scantfs.ini.
